This is an intermediate to advanced beadwork project. Use a combination of stitches to create this stunning two-layered flower which can then be used in a variety of ways - please note that although some ideas for use are given in the 'Helpful hints and variations' section (including the option of turning it into a pendant) this tutorial covers how to make the finished daisy but does not include specific instructions on making a hanging loop/bail. You should have a working knowledge of peyote, ladder and brick stitch, although there are lots of diagrams and photos to help you. A single daisy measures approximately 4 ˝ cm from side to side. The tutorial is 18 pages long and includes a combination of text, diagrams and photos. All instructions are written in English, but there are lots of diagrams and photos included. | Twinkling Tilas tutorial
This is a beginner to intermediate beadwork project. Use a combination of peyote stitch and ladder stitch to create simple star-shaped components and stitch them together to make an eye catching bracelet. The main instructions are to make a single row bracelet (see pictures on the gallery page) but instructions for the wider cuff style bracelet shown above are also included. It would be helpful if you have a working knowledge of peyote stitch and ladder stitch, but the diagrams and photos will help you. Each star-shaped component measures approximately 2 ˝ cm from side to side. The finished bracelet can be made to measure and will fit any wrist. The tutorial is 15 pages long and includes a combination of text, diagrams and photos. Please note, this is a tutorial only and not a kit. I bought my Tila beads from The Bead Shop (Nottingham) Ltd. | Core Beaded Bead tutorial
This is an intermediate beadwork project to create a beaded bead with a central beaded core. You should have a working knowledge of peyote, herringbone and ladder stitch. These instructions are to make a beaded bead (in the pattern shown) only and do not include instructions for the bracelet and/or necklace. The tutorial is 12 pages long. Please be aware that this tutorial uses Toho seed beads and Miyuki Delica cylinder beads. If you are unable to obtain these brands, or wish to use other beads, your finished bead may not be quite as streamlined as the beads shown, due to slight variation in size. Certain colour finishes also cause some beads to be slightly larger than others, which may again affect your finished bead - I would recommend using a galvanised or metallic finish for your core and not silver-lined beads. In either case, you may need to make minor adjustments to achieve the same effect - although you could come up with some interesting results of your own! Please note, this is a tutorial only and not a kit. All instructions are written in English, but there are lots of diagrams and photos included.
