Beads. Sparkly, shiny, twinkling little bits of glass that dazzled me around nine years ago. I succumbed to their mesmerizing magic and now I live and breathe beads. My days are filled with beady activities and my nights are filled with beady dreams. If you have not fallen under their spell, then you (like my long suffering accountant) may be thinking 'Beads? Isn't playing with beads only for kids?' I don't think so, unless of course playing with paint is only for children too? I still have an enormous amount to learn and many avenues to explore, but I am getting the message that if I listen to them carefully, beads will let me create just about anything. It may take me some time to find the right shape or size of bead or the right stitch or the right thread, but it feels like if I keep on pushing I will find that a simple pile of beads can be coaxed into virtually any shape that I can imagine - what an exciting prospect!
