I have been beading for about five years now.  Like many beaders, it all began with cross-stitch.  I gradually progressed to adding a few beads to my work for a bit of sparkle and voilà....I was hooked! 

I am largely self-taught and learnt the basic stitches and techniques from books.  One of my first books (a copy of which I still treasure!) was Creative Bead Weaving by Carol Wilcox Wells.  However, I soon knew that I wanted to create my own designs. 

I have a real passion for beads and beadwork and I hope that comes across in my work.  I love the challenge of turning a small pile of beads and a length of thread into a finished piece and I am currently experimenting with combining different stitches in one piece of work.
